Since announcing Austin as our newest market for personal assistant services, we can’t stop thinking about all of the amazing things this fast-growing city has to offer! We recently shared how we spent 24 hours in Austin, but aren’t quite finished there. We came together to give you 8 more places you need to add to your Austin itinerary this Spring and Summer.

Austin Central Library
If you’re looking for a beautiful, calm, free place to spend some time downtown, check out the newly renovated library complete with a coffee shop/restaurant, full gift shop, art installations, and floors upon floors of books and spaces for people of all ages. Don’t leave before heading to the incredible roof garden with plenty of seating areas with views of downtown and Lady Bird Lake.
Zilker Park
Considered Austin’s “most loved park”, Zilker is 351 acres of open green space thats perfect for setting up a picnic, hanging out with friends, throwing a frisbee around, or just soaking up the Texas sun.
Paddle Boarding on Lady Bird Lake
If you’re looking to get some sun and unique views of the city, there’s no better place to do that than from Lady Bird Lake on a paddle board or kayak. Rent your equipment from one of the many local rental services around the lake and set off for an amazing afternoon on the water.

South Congress
One of the most popular spots in Austin, and rightfully so, is South Congress. You could spend a whole day around this street and never run out of places to eat, drink, shop, and celebrate. But we have to shout out Jo’s Coffee (and the iconic “I love you so much” mural), Amy’s Ice Cream walk-up window, and South Congress Books.
Tubing on the San Marcos River
If you’re up for a drive out of the city, head south for tubing on the clearest, freshest spring water. It’s freezing cold at first, but on a hot Summer day in Austin, it only takes a second to feel like heaven. You can even bring a cooler along in its own tube and make a party of your slow, relaxing float down the river.
Cosmic Coffee + Beer Garden
During the day this is the perfect outdoor space to grab coffee and hang out and work. Or come back at night when the beer garden and assortment of incredible food trucks open up. Even better, they’re dog friendly!

Live Music on 6th Street
If you’re looking for nightlife, look no further than 6th street for live music and good times on every block. Check out the Blind Pig Pub or Maggie Mae’s for great entertainment with a rooftop view.
The Garage
For a sneaky and stylish outing, check out this speakeasy that’s entrance is literally in a parking garage off of 6th street. You’re not lost, just look for the signs pointing to “cocktails” inside the McGarrah Jessee Parking Garage.
While this only scratches the surface of all the amazing activities Austin has to offer, we hope it’s a good way to kick off your next adventure in ATX! Whether you’re looking to shop around, get some sun, or enjoy the thriving nightlife scene, this booming city has something for everyone–and we’re certainly feeling lucky to be a part of it all.
